AFTN Family Cross Country
at Belle-Terre 2026
Context and objectives:
The Association des Familles de Thônex Nord (AFTN) are organizing the 3rd edition of the Cross des familles de Belle-Terre on Sunday, 26 April. Kicking off the “week without screens”, the objective is to promote a sporting, family-friendly, and inclusive event. Encouraging the active participation of local residents, while highlighting a healthy and active lifestyle.
More than just a race, the Cross des familles is a true community celebration. The event will run through lunchtime and conclude by 16:00, giving families plenty of time to stay and enjoy the atmosphere. Several local organizations will be present with stands selling food and drinks, picnic tables will be available across the site, and music will keep the energy high throughout the day. Come run, walk, cheer… and stay to enjoy Belle-Terre together.

- 09:00 – Check-in open
- 10:00 – Chilren born 2020-2021, with parent (750km)
- 10:15 – Children born 2018-2019 (750km)
- 10:30 – Children born 2016-2017 (1.5km)
- 10:30 – Walking all ages (4km)
- 10:50 – Children born 2014-2015 (2.25km)
- 11:15 – Children born before 2014 (3km)
- 11:45 – Adults (4.5km)
- 12:15 – Closing prize ceremony
- 12:45 – Lunch and socializing
- 16:00 – Event closing
Preparations:
Training sessions will be held on Wednesdays, 8 Apri, 15 April, and 22 April at 4:00 pm. Those registering for the race will be asked to indicate whether or not they are taking part in the training sessions. This ‘Cross des Familles’ aims to encourage the active participation of all members of the community, to promote a healthy and active lifestyle while strengthening the bonds between the inhabitants of Thônex Nord.
Participant amenities:
Considering the short race distances, no water/food stations will be available along the route. There are public water fountains available on the Belle-Terre grounds. It is planned to have stands available to purchase food and drinks. And participants are encouraged to bring any additional snacks or drinks they might need. Paid parking is available in the area, several busses provide regular service to the area and participants are encouraged to arrive by public transport or bike.

Volunteering
A number of volunteers will be required to assist with various race aspects like marshalling, directing participants, or managing information/aid/food-refreshment stations.
